Product Number: HIP01

Description

This is a set of codes indicating the source of an admission on the UB-92 Form. It is required by Medicare for inpatient admissions and outpatient registrations. A different code set is used when the Admission Type field indicates Newborn ("4"). These Newborn codes are in a separate file as part of this product.
